Hello
Thought I should fill this site in having had it for two years and only just mastered the computer!
I am however a better fisherman than computer whizz, having fished the solent area for nearly 45 years, the majority of those as a commercial fisherman with my own trawler (oops dirty word but i have changed sides!)
I am easy going sort of person who will give advice and assistance whenever required
Angling has always been my no 1 hobby so to be a charter boat skipper is fantastic
The boat is an offshore pro-charter built in 2003, purchased by myself in Jan 2004
There is a toilet on board and with my last few quid i bought a new kettle!
The engine is a CAT 3126 420hp which gives the boat a top speed of 23/24 knots
Its reasonably beamy and therefore fairly stable compared to most monohulls
There is a fairly large fishing area which will accommodate 10 anglers, hopefully all catching fish
In between the storms we managed to get out for a days tope fishing which turned out to be absolutely brilliant, landing over 25 tope on the day
I tell a lie, a few we just couldn't land because of their size
Fair play to the crew, all tope landed for photographs were treated with respect and returned
Douglas Hogg much to his delight, landed this tope of 36LB
Steve from Basingstoke had a good day, actually landing three tope and losing the other three which were obviously much bigger fish judged by the way his rod bent double
Big Colin, also from Basingstoke, landed this one on a 15LB penn ugly stick and enjoyed every minute of the fight
We also decided to have a go at the Bull Huss, and what a day we had !!
Rob from Basingstoke brought this one in weighing in at 15lb 8ozs, by the way he's a Pompy
supporter, l'm not sure wether he wanted me to focus camera on the fish or his hat !
This is my son Jason who sneaks a rod over the side when he can
Bull Huss Of 14lbs, he thinks he's a better fisherman than me, but one day !!
This is Len Miles with a personal best Plaice of 4lbs 8ozs
